I have received my drapes and my husband immediately went out and rented scaffolding so we could hang them when I got home from work. The burgundy and tobacco banded drapes are BEAUTIFUL. I am so pleased with the quality of the fabric. The box pleat is perfect for this window. Your help with the style, color selection, and hanging options were invaluable. The size of the drapery was precisely accurate (38 x 172) even though hanging them was a challenge. The drapes are MUCH heavier than I ever anticipated (due to the quality of the fabric, lining, and interlining) and they hang beautifully. I will without a doubt refer anyone looking for fine silk drapes to you! As a side note, the hardware is also gorgeous and of outstanding quality. All hardware arrived the day before my drapes so your timing could not have been better! Thanks for all your help.

My great experience with Sumptuous Silk!
My husband and I have been in our brand new home a little over one year. We have worked very hard to be able to purchase nice furniture in our home. However, we had neglected the windows in several rooms in our home due to the pricing of quality curtains. Daily I searched the internet comparing the quality and price of window treatments of many companies. Finally, I connected to the sumptuoussilk website. Within a short period of time I received my swatches. After sharing the swatches with my husband, we both agreed on chocolate silk tafetta panels.
When Dale called me, she took the time to discuss the quality of her curtains as well as answer all of my questions. There was no sales pressure! I would just like for anyone who is looking for silk drapery to know about this fabuluous place! I spent months looking on different websites and going to places to get custom orders made! Sumptuous Silk is by far the best there is around! First of all, Dale is a jewel to work with! She is so helpful and so prompt. I ordered my drapes and got them in two days! I have to say I was not sure what to expect, because I have never ordered anything like this from the net. I have other silk drapes in my house that I had custom made that were very expensive and took a long time to have made. I will say that Dale's drapes are probably a better made drape than the ones I paid thousands of dollars for. One of the things I love is how thick and rich the lining and interlining is. The ones from catalogs etc... are so cheap looking and flimsy. Also the catalog ones are more expensive. I honestly have never seen a better price for these beautiful drapes! I ordered the pink/ivory and they are just gorgeous- they look even better than Dale's pics. My friends saw them and just assumed I had them custom made like my other custom drapes - little did they know they were much more affordable! I have spoken with Dale via e-mail and phone many times now and she is just the greatest to work with. This is by far the best internet ordering experience I ever had. Not one single problem with anything. I plan on ordering more drapes from her as soon as I figure out what color I need. She is so great to send any swatches you want to see. I just wanted to let you know I received the drapes Tuesday afternoon and they are absolutely beautiful! I only took one out of the packaging to admire it, but I'm sure they are all equally "sumptuous". Actually timing couldn't have worked out better. I had taken a few days off work this week to spend time with my daughter who is home from school on her winter break and luckily when FedEx delivered the drapes I was home to sign for them.
Yesterday I brought all the panels to the drapery shop that is making the cornice boards for me so they could add the tassels to the panels. They were quite impressed with the silk panels too. Which is high praise from people who make draperies as their livelihood. I could never have afforded to have them make those panels for me. The fabric alone (if I could even have found such high quality silk) would have cost more than the completed draperies you sent me.
As I've said when the project is done I will be sure to take pictures and email them to you. Thank you so much for all your help and for making such a beautiful product available at an affordable price.
